Itinerary

Day 01 PYONGYANG–MOUNT MYOHYANG L D 160 Km (99 Miles)

Enjoy a morning tour of the Cemetery of the Martyrs of the Revolution and the Kwangbop Buddhist Temple.

In the afternoon, depart by road (1h30) towards Myohyang, meaning "mysterious fragrant mountain", a beautiful spot in the surprising North Korea countryside.

On arrival, check in the hotel and free time.

Dinner is at hotel or local restaurant. Overnight at Mount Myohyang.

Day 02 MOUNT MYOHYANG B L D

After breakfast, the day is dedicated to the exploration of one of the valleys of the region. In 2009, this biosphere reserve has been listed by UNESCO citing its cultural significance as well as the spectacular cliffs sheltering about thirty species of endemic plants and twelve endangered animal species.

Then, depart to Sangwon Hermitage, located about 565 meters above sea level, offering one of the most breath-taking views of the mountains. Then, enjoy a walk in a spectacular landscape through the Kumgan’s gate, waterfalls, pavilions...

Return back to hotel late in the afternoon. Full board.

Overnight at Mount Myohyang.

Day 03 MOUNT MYOHYANG–PYONGYANG B L D 160 Km (99 Miles)

After breakfast, visit the International Friendship Exhibition. It displays various gifts presented to the former President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il by various political, economic and military personalities worldwide.

Then, visit Pohyon Buddhist Temple, one of the five biggest temples of the country, and home of one of the rare copies of Tripitaka Koreana. This Buddhist canon, carved onto more than 80,000 wooden printing blocks, is listed as a World Heritage Treasure and the original is stored at Haeinsa Temple in South Korea.

Lunch is at local restaurant.

Then, depart in the early afternoon to Pyongyang.

Entertainment on arrival at the Pyongyang’s circus. A world renowned, this circus has continually received the Golden Clown Award at the Monte Carlo Festival. Very popular in the country, the circus offers a quality show illustrating the Korean traditions.

Dinner is at hotel or local restaurant. Overnight in Pyongyang.

Day 04 PYONGYANG B

After breakfast, time is at leisure at the hotel.

Note: The rooms shall be released by 12pm (noon).

Depending on the flight schedule, transfer to the airport for the departure flight.
