MAJOR PORTS & DESTINATIONS IN KOREA1. INCHEONIncheon is a major port city in Korea and is home to Incheon International Airport. Incheon is adjacent to the West Sea, which is dotted with numerous islands and islets that provide many marine tourist assets. It lies in a strategically important position for trade and cultural exchange with sea routes connecting Korea to the rest of the world, especially linking to nearby Chinese cities.
2. SEOULSeoul is the capital of Korea with over 600 years of history. It is the heart of Korea’s culture and education as well as politics and economics. Seoul is unique in that historical sites such as Gyeongbokgung Palace and modern cultural facilities coexist in harmony. Seoul is a world-class city with numerous amenities and shopping districts such as Myeong-dong and Apgujeong.
3. BUSANBusan is a second largest city in Korea. As a major port city, there is a myriad of sea routes offering gateways to Japan and to the rest of the world. The Pusan* International Film Festival (PIFF) is held annually and attracts movie buffs enthusiasts from all over the world. * Under the new romanization system promulgated in 2000, Pusan is now spelled Busan. The film festival was established before the system took effect, thus the original spelling "Pusan" is still employed (i.e. Pusan International Film Festival).

GYEONGJUOn the eastern coast where the morning sunlight first touches the Orient, was once the capital of the Shilla Kingdom and subsequently the center of Korea when Shilla unified the peninsula in 676 A.D. It was designated by UNESCO as one of the world's ten most historically significant sites. It is no wonder that this area is called the "Museum without walls
5. ULSANUlsan Metropolitan City is located in the middle of East Asia at the Southeast edge of the Korean Peninsula. It is a representative Port city. Ulsan is blessed with a mild climate and beautiful nature. The Taehwa River flows across Ulsan City adding beauty to the nature of Ulsan. Along the Gulf of Ulsan many ports are arranged consecutively such as onsan Banjeonjin and Ulsan port. Utilizing these ports Ulsan became the gate to East Asia Since ancient times. 6. JEJUSituated in a most ideal setting, just 64 kilometers south of the Korean Peninsula is Korea’s largest island, Jeju. Jeju is a magical place known for 3 things: roaring winds, magnificent rocks, and women, since there is a bigger population of women versus men. As one of the host cities of the 2002 Korea/Japan FIFA World Cup, Jeju’s Seogwipo City made the most charming places to host it. Jeju is a focal point of international affairs and is able to offer people many kinds of recreational activities with breathtaking vistas, a temperate climate and a unique traditional culture. Located in the center of this volcanic island is Mt. Hallasan (a dormant volcano), which is filled with over 1,800 species of vegetation, scores of deer, and an ecosystem that will surely amaze all. Jeju offers unbelievably breathtaking views from coast to coast, ranging from the waterfalls at Hae-anjidae to the naturally sculpted cliffs at Jusang Jeolli. Tourists can enjoy each season in Jeju with a particular splash of color; brilliant yellow-colored flowers in the spring that spread across the landscape, the golden beaches and sea vistas in the summertime, the Eulalia’s light brown wispy reeds flowing in the autumn winds, and the lovely snow flowers of Hallasan in winter are all must-sees of Jeju. One can enjoy these wonders of the world by hiking, bike riding, paragliding, scuba diving, windsurfing, hunting, horseback riding, swimming, and going on boat trips. Jeju also has a wide variety of native foods such as the delicious Jeju tangerines and native dishes including redtile fish stew, grilled and seasoned redtile fish, rice porridge with abalone, pheasant dishes and hair-tail fish soup. Jeju is more than simply a tourist destination; it is an island full of wonder. Making the most of its charm and beauty to attract considerable numbers of tourists and with its geo-political location, Jeju is in the process of changing into an International Free City.
